Meet Jules Edelmann: Penn State Brand Ambassador
Jules Edelman is one of our favorite Saxbys brand ambassadors. The 20-year-old sophomore at Penn State is an amazing artist and her Instagram account is a must-follow for all things Penn State. We caught up with Jules for a quick Q&A about partnering with Saxbys.
Are you happy to be a Saxbys brand ambassador?
Of course! I’m excited to spread the word. I think the mission of an entirely student-run cafe is super cool. I’m all about students getting hands on experience. I’m an art education major and I get to go into classrooms and get hands on experience a lot — and I think business students should get the same thing. It’s an awesome mission.
What does Saxbys and its mission mean to you?
Saxbys represents a community of students joining together to do something for themselves, whether it be working and gaining hands-on management experience, enjoying a coffee with your friends, or fueling up for a day full of studying and doing homework. All of these things bring us together as a community and Saxbys provides a place for this to happen, giving us an environment and a hot cup of coffee to “make life better”.
Had you ever had a Saxbys coffee before we came to Penn State this year?
Yes! I live in Pittsburgh (where there are sadly no Saxbys cafes) but my roommate lives in Philly. This summer I went to visit her and we went to the Saxbys cafe in Rittenhouse Square. I really loved the coffee and all the amazing art. Then I found out Saxbys opened in the business building at Penn State in the beginning of the semester. I was so pumped.
How do you plan to promote Saxbys?
I’m constantly posting about Saxbys on Instagram. I also tell all my friends about it all the time. I even walk around campus with my Saxbys travel mug! Anything to get the word out.
How will the Saxbys partnership help you advance your career?
I love learning about how the business is run and cultivating a group of students that are all working on something together. I want be a teacher so I love programs that help students work together for a common goal. Also, I love getting different drinks and trying to take the best picture possible so it helps me improve my photography.
What is your favorite Saxbys items?
My favorite drink is a soy latte, and my favorite food is a blueberry muffin!
